This policy explains what tudonovel.com collects when you visit, buy, or read Tự Do, why it is collected, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Austin Nguyen, the author. Questions go to [email protected].
What we collect
When you buy. Payment is handled by Stripe on its own checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. We receive your email address, what you bought, the amount, and a Stripe order number.
Your reader account. Your email address and your password. The password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read it.
How you read. To keep your place and to understand how the book is read, the reader records, for signed-in readers only:
- which chapters you open and how long you spend in them
- how far you scroll, and when you pause or switch tabs
- clicks inside the reader, and the screen size of your device
- when you highlight or copy text: the length of the passage and its first 120 characters
- technical errors in the page, so they can be fixed
Sign-ins and account changes. When you sign in, buy, or reset your password, we log the time, your IP address, the approximate city and country that address points to, and your browser type. This helps spot misuse of an account.
Visits to the site. We use three tools to understand how people find and use the site:
- Google Analytics counts visits, pages viewed, where visitors came from, and actions such as opening the purchase window or completing a purchase.
- Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) and can replay a visit as an anonymous recording. Text typed into form fields, such as your email or password, is masked and not recorded.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) records page views and actions such as opening a locked chapter, starting checkout or completing a purchase, so we can measure ads on Meta and show them to people likely to enjoy the book.
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also counts page loads and loading speed without cookies.
None of these tools receives your name or email address from us.

We email you only about your purchase and your account, for example a password reset link you asked for. We do not send newsletters or marketing unless you sign up for them separately.
Who else handles your data
We do not sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the services that run the site:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its database and counts page loads.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Google provides Google Analytics.
- Microsoft provides Clarity.
- Meta provides the Meta Pixel.
- Account emails are sent from our own mail server.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Account, purchase, and reading records: while your account exists.
- Password reset links: they stop working after one hour.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.
- Clarity recordings: kept by Microsoft for a limited period under its own policy.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The reader needs its sign-in cookie to work.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on.
- You can control how Meta uses this data for ads in your Meta ad preferences.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing [email protected].
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
